The Japanese art form of paper folding, designed to make objects, creatures, and various other things is known as Origami. It is a fun-filled activity that provides satisfaction to the creator on seeing the end result. Origami can be practised at home by both adults and children alike. It helps children to improve concentration span, eye-hand co-ordination, fine motor development, logical reasoning, and creativity. For adults it is a good de-stressing and patience-developing activity. To learn origami one should start with the universally-accepted basic folding symbols. Origami is taught at school and may be pursued as a hobby. Special kind of origami paper is available in stationary shops and school store shops.

The Chinese martial art form of Tai chi is being widely accepted as a holistic approach to feel fit and peaceful. A slow and graceful art form it is supposed to be excellent as meditative therapy keeping the mind focussed, calm, and peaceful. A psephologist is a person who studies, analyses, and predicts the election trends with the help of surveys and statistical data. The word “Psephology” is taken from the Greek word “Psephos” referring to the pebble stone which was used by the people of Greece in place of a ballot. The job of a psephologist involves doing research on the trends of the elections and the likely changes to occur during an election process. They base their study on the behavioural pattern of election conducted previously, check out facts and details of electoral votes, and learn the probabilities of which party may win through interaction with the general public before finalising an opinion poll. The predictions of a psephologist are important for the electorate as well as the political parties because it provides them first-hand knowledge about the political issues and happenings.

Music is melody to the ear and is created on the basis of musical notes or notations Octave refers to the period or interval in the pitch of musical notes. Some are with high frequency and the others are half the frequency. Octave corresponds to the 8th full pitch above any musical note or below it. When the octave is above the specified musical note, it means it is doubled in vibrations and designated as 8va whereas for the octave lesser than the specified musical note it is reduced to half and designated as 8vb. The reason for having an octave in music is because human ear would be unable to perceive the difference between notes. P8 means the octave is a perfect one. The term octave has other connotations too.
